FUNdraising

We are making FUNdraising easy and fun this year with our Buddy Walk Hero Page! I am very pleased to say that we have come up with a very novel fundraising idea. We have joined forces and are now registered with “Everyday Hero” – an organisation whose mission is to connect people with the charities and causes they care about to increase overall giving.

Each person with Down syndrome, or someone close to them, can participate and is hopefully sponsored by as many people as possible, which raises money for our association. In order to raise funds, participants can create a Hero Page via this link and make it their own by sharing a special message of inspiration, start a blog, share an image or video, and raise funds. This Hero Page is accessible to your family, friends and colleagues.

Anyone is invited to make donations (you will need a credit card) and leave a message of support to the person with Down syndrome doing the fundraising. Donations are tallied and displayed for everyone to see. Donations are automatically processed, receipted and transferred to Auckland Down Syndrome Association.

If people do not have a credit card, you can still use the old sponsorship form - Click Here. Just write their details on the form and collect the money before 21 March and hand it in at the registration table. If people want to make a deposit directly in our bank account, that is also possible.

You will need to give them these details:

Auckland Down Syndrome Association
12-3008-0265824-00
with their last name as reference.

Then you will need to contact us with an email including their address details (please include a postcode) so we can send them a tax receipt.

It only takes a few minutes to create your Hero Page. If you have any trouble or are completely computer-phobic, let me know and we will help you set up your page.

Good Luck!
